Xendo Enterprise customers have the option of self-managing the encryption keys used to encrypt their company's search cluster.
Using this capability, the search cluster is encrypted with bank-grade AES-256 encryption algorithm. Your company administrator has control over the encryption key which can be enabled or disabled at will. Disabling the encryption key will make your company's search cluster inaccessible and the contents of the index can only be decrypted using the same key as was used to encrypt the index.
While the search cluster is inaccessible, end-users will see a message saying 'Search index unavailable'.
